About EGS Security Solutions
EGS Security Solutions is a premier, Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) dedicated to providing elite risk management and security services. We specialize in protecting high-value corporate and commercial assets. Our operations are built on a foundation of discipline, continuous training, and unwavering professionalism. We are currently seeking highly vigilant and experienced Security Supervisors to lead our teams protecting critical data center infrastructure in the NOVA corridor.

Position Overview
As a Data Center Security Shift Supervisor, you are the operational anchor for your assigned shift. You will lead, mentor, and manage a team of Data Center Security Officers, ensuring that EGS’s strict protocols for access control, interior "white space" patrols, and threat detection are executed flawlessly. You are the primary point of contact for client facility managers during your shift and will act as the initial Incident Commander during any escalating events. This role requires a strong command presence, a high degree of technical security knowledge, and the ability to maintain operational discipline in a highly regulated environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Team Leadership & Mentorship: Conduct pre-shift roll call, brief officers on current threat advisories, and inspect uniforms and gear to ensure strict adherence to EGS professional standards.
  • Operational Auditing & Quality Control: Perform unannounced checks on officer posts and patrols. Verify that physical "push/pull" tests on secured cages are being conducted and that the "Stop and Verify" anti-tailgating protocols are being rigorously enforced.
  • Incident Command & Escalation: Serve as the tactical lead during critical incidents (medical emergencies, localized temperature spikes, unauthorized perimeter breaches, or fire suppression discharges). Liaise directly with responding EMS, law enforcement, and client management.
  • Advanced Threat Mitigation: Oversee the handling of complex security challenges, including disgruntled personnel, uncooperative vendors, or potential insider threats, utilizing advanced de-escalation and verbal judo techniques.
  • Training & Drill Execution: Conduct rapid, on-shift tabletop exercises or "Red Team" drills (e.g., testing responses or dropped USB protocols) to ensure officer readiness.
  • Report Review & SOC Coordination: Review and approve all incident reports and logbook entries generated by your team, ensuring accuracy, precision, and legal defensibility before submission to the client or EGS headquarters. Manage complex camera tracking and coordination with the Security Operations Center (SOC).

Basic Qualifications:
  • Active Private Security Services Registration from the Virginia Department of Criminal Justice Services (DCJS).
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in physical security, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or team-lead capacity.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Must pass a background check, including criminal history and drug screening.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex incidents to client stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to maintain a highly professional command presence under pressure.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Prior leadership experience in the military (NCO or Officer) or law enforcement is highly preferred.
  • Previous experience managing security operations in a data center, SCIF, or high-security corporate environment.
  • Current CPR/AED and Basic First Aid certifications.
  • Proficiency with enterprise access control software and advanced CCTV systems.

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods across large facility campuses while conducting post inspections.
  • Ability to rapidly respond to alarms or emergencies on foot and assume command of the scene.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and physically assist in emergency medical or evacuation scenarios.
